Some people go to work and them come back home and do their thing, with no connection between work and home.
This rarely happens with people who deal with design and visual art professions. Usually, these people work out of a passion that permeates there lives and sometimes it difficult to tell where work ends and life begins, if there are differentiating lines like that at all, or if the person has completely merged the to parts of there lives.
People who work at home have a hard time differentiating where work ends and life begins, and the transition can be difficult at times (I would know:-)).
Joni from Cote De Texas has a very interesting interview with Jill Brown, the owner of Brown, a specialty lighting and antique store in Huston, who as apposed to me, doesn’t work at home, but you can see how completely merged her work life and home life are - The Store looks beautiful, from Joni’s pictures, and Jill’s home, which is furnished in the same style of furniture she carries in her shop is even lovelier than her store. I love thinking about how people got to choose their professions, and if the profession is truly chosen, or, if in cases like Jill’s, the profession actually chose them?
