Hello,

I want to insulate my 'sound' room from the living room with two sliding doors (opening between the two adjacent rooms is 2.70 m large. Can someone provide me information or tips on how to have the maximum sound insulation?I would like to make the doors in a sort of japanese style with matt glass in it. What is the optimal distance between two layers of double glass for having the most freqeuncy broadband sound insulation? Any tips what to do with the spaces between the walls/floor and the doors itself?

Thanks for any tip!!

Hello Wim, If it to leaves your Door, you can install an Insulating - glass - pane. This pane is composed of a system - glass - pane, which is laminated with a Giessharz or PVB - foil. This foil can be manufactured also in dull. The Panes Between room is filled with Nobly - gas. The entire thickness totals approx. 28-30 mm. In Germany this pane is sold under that Took ' Contrasonor '. I hope ,that it has helped you somewhat further,if not, then send me a e-mail. Greeting O.S.
