Dear Vampie, For any info about carpetting you could go to: http://www.floorbiz.com That's a gateway to anything you might want to know about floor covering, including faq's and glossary. Or go to: 'Something about nonwovens' http://sites.netscape.net/hsies/homepage These are my pages, dealing with the nonwovens, textile and papermaking industries. On page #11, you'll find links to textile glossaries and dictionaries (http://sites.netscape.net/hsies/protest4). Congratulations with your new home . Kind Regards, Henk J. Dear Ina, That was an excellent piece of advice you offered on the question, whether or not to use carpets made from polyester fiber. Nylon is indeed by far the best fiber for it. However, Shell Chemicals seem to have come up with something even better. It's a fiber called: (P)oly(T)rimethylene (T)erephthalate. The brand name is 'Corterra'. Go to: http://www.corterra.com Kind Regards, Henk J. Sies Kibbutz Carmiya Israel
