What you are looking for is called a 'rubbed lacquer' finish. That is the only way to get a depth to a pearly finish. Go to the paint store and explain that. It is labor intensive.
They will probably mix up the pearl finish you mentioned above if you wish for that, then I would just buy a quart to try. Try applying several layers if you wish to avoid the 'rubbed lacquer' finish labor.
