Morimoto NYC internal design

Morimoto NYC is a mixture of west and east.
On the outside you can see the traditional Japanese noren combined with blackened steel horizontal bars, which gives it a strong presence on the street.

On the inside, a row of concrete columns are gently light by several thousands plastic bottles, giving the place a feeling of elegance and privacy. The ceiling is covered with light fabric contributing nicely to the atmosphere.

As for the food, well I’ll leave it for other designers to review.

One thing that I’ve found irritating though, is their website.
I wish its designer was doing as good a job as Mr. Ando.
