Hiya Eleonora, I'd be up for a bit of transEuropean discussion on these issues. At present I'm in Wales running a modest interior design studio and am fed up with our recent, in UK, design boom as quality seems to have gone out the window. I am looking into ecologically sound design, you know stuff that doesn't cost the earth..paints without petrochemical derivatives, low energy light sources, furniture without formaldehyde..etc...I'm slowly gathering information on these products but the thing is I don't want to produce 'cranky' work. I like design with a bit of sense of humour, i loved the Memphis movement, John Outram's architecture and the work of Frank Gehry (to name but a few). I'm a bit out of touch with what is going on in this country at the moment but sense there's a lot of 'funny' stuff going up in a hurry before 01/01/2000, it's a bit like living in the dark ages. Architecture, to me, should at it's best be a celebration of the future, whatever the motives behind it, and at the moment it seems a bit stagnant. What's it like in Italy?
