Decorating basement like a tavern

I hope this is the right group to post this to. I've been searching high and low for an answer to this question, to no avail.

I want to decorate my basement like an old fashioned tavern, complete with all the goods. I want the lower half of the walls to look like stone - actual, touchable, rough stone (not faux stone or wallpaper). How on earth could I do this? I can't seem to find the right words to search at google.com , maybe i just don't know what that type of thing is called? Any ideas?
