Coping With The Need For Window Covering

I don’t know if you are as confused by the use of the terms windows covering and windows treatments as this bloger is but if you are then you might want to check out his explanation, still bear in mind that neither are real words in English. Now that we got this out of the way lets examine few alternatives as I am facing a small dilemma right now as to what to do with my bedroom window. I have moved recently to a new place, it is rented so I can’t really go wild in the changes I make still having a small window with a dark shutter above the bed is a challenge. I’m not sure if I should use a curtain as even a very light one can be too heavy for the room that is small as it is. I don’t need it for air or light as I have a nicer window in the room that is easier to reach. I am actually thinking about putting a painting or something else that will cancel it as a window but would rather balance the room. Any idea?
